Research in the Yudin Lab
At the Yudin Lab, we tackle contemporary challenges in synthetic organic chemistry. We are just as passionate about how we create molecules as we are about their functional significance. While we are driven by the fundamental principles of synthesis, we are also increasingly guided by the need for sustainability in modern organic chemistry.
Our research begins with well-defined projects that pose clear scientific questions and involve careful risk assessment. We emphasize scientific reasoning, which students develop through weekly group discussions and one-on-one meetings with Andrei. Our group meetings focus on both long-term research goals and short-term problem-solving, ensuring steady progress and innovation.
Students in our lab—whether pursuing a PhD, MSc, undergraduate research, or postdoctoral studies—gain hands-on experience in teamwork, scientific writing, and conference presentations. Our ultimate goal is to equip them with state-of-the-art synthetic skills that open doors to careers in pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academia, and government agencies.
